This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on signetdocs.ai and within the Signet platform, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies — such as your browser's local storage — to remember information about your visit. This policy covers signetdocs.ai and the Signet platform at app-uk.signetdocs.ai (UK region) and app-eu.signetdocs.ai (EU region).
We keep this list to the minimum needed to run Signet, secure it, and understand how it's used.
| Category | Name / provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | signet_cookie_consent (local storage, first-party) |
Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every visit | 180 days |
| Strictly necessary | Session & authentication cookies (Signet platform, first-party) | Keeps you signed in and keeps a document-signing session secure | Session, or duration of login |
| Analytics (optional) | PostHog — eu.posthog.com (EU-hosted) | Helps us understand how the website and product are used, so we can improve them. Respects "Do Not Track" | Up to 1 year, only if accepted |
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this table and the choices offered in our cookie banner before any such cookies are set.
When you first visit signetdocs.ai, a banner lets you choose Accept all cookies, Essential only, or Manage preferences to turn optional analytics cookies on or off. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off, as the site and Signet app cannot function without them.
You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of this site, which reopens the banner, or by clearing your browser's local storage for signetdocs.ai. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser's own settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of Signet, including document signing, from working.
Except for strictly necessary cookies, we ask for consent before setting a cookie, in line with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive. Following the UK's Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, some low-risk analytics cookies may be set in the UK without prior consent provided clear information and an easy opt-out are given; the EU has not adopted an equivalent exemption. Where we detect a visit from the EU, we continue to ask for opt-in consent to analytics cookies before they are set.
Some pages may embed or link to third-party content that sets its own cookies, which we do not control. Please refer to that third party's own cookie or privacy policy for details.
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes or as the law evolves. The current version is always available at signetdocs.ai/cookies with its effective date shown above.
